2018 Kindergarten Round-Up

Students who will be attending Kindergarten this fall are invited to visit Texas Leadership Charter Academy of Arlington May 1st to enroll during the annual TLCA‘s Kindergarten Round-Up. Registering students early allows parents and students the opportunity to visit the campus, meet the office staff, and ask any questions they may have.

Kindergarten Round-up will be held Tuesday, May 1. Parents can register their students at our campus or online 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

To be eligible for enrollment in kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018.

TLCA Board of Directors approve 2018-2019 School Calendar

LCA Students will be reporting for school August 15th, as Texas Leadership Charter Academy’s Board of Directors approved the 2018-2019 School Calendar.
In developing the calendar, students' time will be calculated in minutes, and teachers are still under a ten-month contract of 187 calendar days.
School districts and charter schools are required to operate for a minimum of 76,650 minutes, including intermissions and recess, according to state mandates.
Highlights from the new calendar include: first day of instruction will be August 15; Students and Staff will have the week of Thanksgiving off November 19-23; Christmas break will be December 21 – January 7 with students returning January 8; last day of class is May 21; spring break will remain aligned with Districts in respective cities, March 11-15 and graduation is set for May 17.

2017-2018 Drop-off and Pick-Up Information

Other than rainy days, all students should be dropped off in the morning by the Green (K-2) Building. 6th-9th Grade parents, please do not drop off by the Brown Building as it holds up the rest of the line. Also, please be sure to only park in Visitor Parking (see the parking map).
All K-5 students will start the day in the Green (K-2) building. Breakfast will be served from 7-7:30 am, and morning assembly will be held in the Green Auditorium.
All 6-9 students will star the day in the Brown (3-9) building. Breakfast will be served from 7-7:30 am, and students will report to their classes at 7:45 am.
Elementary (K-5) will dismiss at 3:30 pm. Secondary (6-9) will dismiss at 3:45 pm. Parents will not be able to wait in the K-5 line for 6th-9th grade students as this will hold up the line. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
