Lori Shields, LVN/LPT
My family recently located here from San Diego, California. My career in nursing as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and a Licensed Vocational Nurse spans over 26 years. I also hold teaching credentials for Health Sciences, K-12, and adult education. I am happily married (getting ready to celebrate 28 years of marriage), and we have 3 grown children (2 boys, a girl, and 1 male dog). Some of the places I've worked include the University of California San Diego Hospital Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Locked Unit, the County of San Diego Children's Emergency Shelter Polinsky Children's Center (CPS), Grossmont High School District, and most recently, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as a nurse and first responder inside the prison housing unit (caring for 500 inmates per housing unit). The R.J. Donovan Correctional Facility is located near the California - Tijuana border.
It is my pleasure to serve as your school nurse. I have an open door policy, so if you have any questions about your child's health, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 817-385-9338, extension 6209.
